The architectural and artistic complex of Kecharis situated in the village of Tsakhkadzor (Gorge of Flowers) is another fines example of Armenian architecture. The monuments is at the edge of the Bambak Ridge. The church is favoured by the beautiful and healthy climate and nature which creates a perfect atmosphere around.. In the 11th century the settlement was under the possession of Pakhlavuni Dynasty who founded a monastery there, the construction of which continued till the middle of the 13th century. In the 12th-13th centuries Kecharis enjoyed the fame of a major religious centre of Armenia which had a higher school.
The complex includes three churches, two chapels and a vestry. to the west of the vestry there was another church with its own vestry at the side of a road leading to the forest. There are still many tombstones around these places.
